HOLLAND — Flinx recruitment has been an active specialist for the last 8 years, connecting Dutch Caribbean employers with professionals living in the exterior. The company focuses on bridging the gap between Dutch Caribbean professionals and local employers. Flinx recruitment will be organizing Flinx Recruitment Expo Dutch Caribbean (FRED) for the fourth consecutive year. The four-day event will boast a significant amount of activities, such as a company dinner, a leadership conference, the job fair and interviews with companies, beginning June 4th and ending on June 7th. The goal of this large-scale event is to offer professionals, graduates and pre-graduates the opportunity to find an illusive job or a prestigious internship.
Preparations are already underway and FRED eagerly wants to help candidates prepare as well by organizing two workshops prior the event itself. The first workshop will take place on April 29th and is themed “Social Media”; it will be given by Kim Swagemakers, an expert on utilizing the art of social media to strengthen your online presence. All participating candidates can gain knowledgeable insights into the world of social media, representing yourself online, how to get noticed by recruiters online and so much more.
More than 30 companies have already signed on to be part of FRED 2015. Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St.Maarten and The Netherlands will all be part of the highly anticipated weekend in June. The four-day event will start with the company dinner being held on Thursday June 4th, a unique event bringing together selected candidates and the participating companies in an informal setting. A rotating system will allow the participating companies to speak with and get to know multiple candidates over the course of the evening.
Friday June 5th will see a new initiative of FRED come to life and take the stage. The Leadership Conference will host an array of professionals, who will give inspiring and powerful presentations, which will inevitably motivate your own success story. The Job Fair will be held on Saturday June 6th at Beurs WTC in Rotterdam, commencing at 11 o’clock and ending at 6 o’clock. All graduates, pre-graduates, and professionals will have an opportunity to visit all the participating companies and enquire about opportunities to return to the islands with a new career.
FRED will conclude on Sunday June 7th with the Company Interviews. Companies can pre-select candidates to have an interview with them based on their resume. Companies can also invite a candidate that they met at any one of the FRED activities for an interview on Sunday.
This year FRED will be sponsored by Banco di Caribe and ENNIA, but many other companies will be present such as Pinnacle Sports, Sint Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport, Sint Maarten Medical Center, SZV Social and Health Insurance, UTS Eastern Caribbean, Berenschot, PwC, Deloitte and Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospitaal Aruba just to name a few. Many other social and student organizations will be present to give out information on this day.
