Minister Plenipotentiary Fleming-Artsen calls on professionals, graduates or pre-graduates in the Netherlands to register for FRED Expo 2015

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Minister Plenipotentiary, Hon. Josianne Fleming–Artsen is calling on Sint Maarten professionals, graduates, and pre-graduates residing in the Netherlands to register before May 17^th with the Flinx Recruitment Expo Dutch Caribbean (FRED) website (www.fredexpo.com) if you are seeking a career or internship in the Dutch Caribbean.  Registration is completely free.

Flinx Recruitment has been acting as a bridge between Dutch Caribbean professionals and local employers.

This is the fourth FRED Expo that is being organized from June 4^th to June 7^th.  Preparations are well underway for the four-day event.

More than 30 companies have signed up to be a part of FRED 2015 including some from Sint Maarten.

“This will be a great opportunity for Sint Maarten professionals in the Netherlands to engage local businesses and institutions at the Expo.

“I encourage persons who have friends or family in the Netherlands to sign-up for the Expo if they have not done so already.  We need our young professionals more than ever now to come back home to help build Country Sint Maarten,” Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming-Artsen said on Tuesday.

Sint Maarten professionals in the Netherlands can upload their resume to the aforementioned website, and can also register to participate in the different activities that are planned such as the company dinner, workshops, and the leadership conference and company interviews.

On June 4^th, there will be a company dinner which will bring together selected candidates and participating companies in an informal setting.

On June 5^th there will be a Leadership Conference with an array of professionals, who will give inspiring and powerful presentations.

The Job Fair will be held on Saturday, June 6^th at Beurs WTC in Rotterdam, commencing at 11.00am and ending at 6pm.  The fair allows attendees to visit all the participating companies and enquire about opportunities to return to the island with a new career.

FRED will conclude on June 7^th with Company Interviews.  Companies can pre-select candidates to have an interview with them based on their resume.  Companies can also invite a candidate that they met at any one of the FRED activities for an interview on this specific day.
