Central Committee Meeting scheduled for Tuesday with Saint Martin Territorial Council Representatives

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in public session on June 23rd.

The Central Committee meeting is set for Tuesday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The first agenda point is a discussion between the Saint Martin Territorial Council of the Collectivity and Members of Parliament (MPs) on topics of mutual interests with specific attention on: the position of residents of the French side that are on pension that have been employed on the Dutch side in the past; possibility of joint waste management; possibility of joint water and light management; development of geothermal energy.

The second agenda point to be handled in the Central Committee meeting of Parliament on Tuesday is an invitation for the House to send a delegation of MPs to attend a solemn public meeting of the Parliament of Curacao on the occasion of Curacao Flag Day which is observed on July 2nd.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
