US Virgin Islands (USVI)— Police in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) have issued what they describe as a warning to members of the public, noting that a teenager wanted for murder in the United States may be receiving sanctuary from his alleged criminal associates here in the BVI, as well as St Thomas in the neighbouring US Virgin Islands (USVI).
J’wa Emone Charlery, also known as ‘Balla’ of the USVI, is said to be 6 feet in height and weighing 160lbs.
The 19-year-old has been described by US Marshals as “armed and dangerous”.
According to the BVI police, US Marshals are also “offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading directly to his arrest”.
Members of the public are advised not to approach Charlery, but to contact the police 911 emergency number if the wanted teen is seen or his whereabouts are known.
“If members of the public prefer to speak directly to the US Marshals Service, please call 1-800-336-0102, quoting W3936115588, or contact them on their website at www.usmarshals.gov,” added the BVI police
