BVI — Members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are investigating a case in which a landlord allegedly wounded his tenant with a machete this week during a dispute over the use of water at a Fahie Hill residence on Tortola.
Details of the incident are still sketchy, but reports reaching BVI News Online are that the tenant was at home using water when the landlord turned off the pipe.
An argument developed between the two.
The landlord allegedly pulled a machete and used it to chop the tenant on the hand.
It is said that, during the dispute, the tenant was also told to leave the property.
The matter was reported to the police who eventually took the landlord into custody. He is expected to be charged.
