Man at WorkGREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), will be repairing the collapsed bridge in the Oyster Pond area, which succumbed to its feebleness when a dump truck fell into the ditch below the bridge back in February 2015.

Works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday July 7, from 7:00 AM and are estimated to continue for approximately two weeks from start date, weather permitting.

The preparation works will include demolishing a piece of the current bridge and excavation of the grounds which will cause traffic obstructions.

Windward Roads who will be constructing the new bridge will be operating heavy equipment and directing traffic in the area as necessary.

Once the bridge is complete railings will be installed for increased safety measures.

Motorists are requested to be observant of the traffic adjustment during this time.

Ministry VROMI apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause.
