PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Prime Minister Hon. Marcel Gumbs on Friday morning received the 2014 Annual Report from the Corporate Governance Council (CGC).
During the discussions, both the Prime Minister and the members of the CGC pointed out the importance of the CGC for the Shareholder and Government Owned Companies.
Representing the CGC was Perry Wilson (Chair CGC) and Charles Smith (Vice chair CGC).
The Prime Minister is a strong proponent of integrity and as such acknowledges the role of the CGC with regards to Government Owned Companies.
To ensure such, the Prime Minister and the CGC also discussed briefly the budget of the CGC, housing and ways to strengthen the Shareholder as well as Government Owned Companies.
