COLEBAY, Sint Maarten – The French and Dutch Prosecutors offices are working very close together to resolve the crimes on the island. On Saturday (July 5th) morning around 11:00am another team of French detective and the Dutch Prosecutor office with the Judge of Instruction executed the third house search for the week when they visited a container warehouse located on Orange grove, Colebay.
The French law enforcement authorities had a male suspect with them, according to eyewitness who told the 721news the man was in his fifties or sixties. He was handcuffed and the law enforcement officers went with him to different containers at the location.
The detective who was at the scene had on gloves and photos were taken of different angle of the location. It is not clear to our newsroom, if any item was confiscated during this search.
Also we cannot confirm why the search took place or what this case is about.
It is a fact that both sides is working very close together and are cooperating with each other in different unsolved cases and legal matters.
We can expect more team work between the two law enforcement agencies during this week.
