A Tropical storm warning has been issued for St.Eustatius and surrounding Islands.
ORANJESTAD, St Eustatius — This means that with 24hrs we could experience tropical storm force winds (50 mph with gust up to 65 mph).
The Hurricane shelter, located in the basement of the Seventh Day Adventist Church ( as pictured) on Newton’s Pasture, is activated as of 5:00pm Sunday 23rd 2015 and ready to receive person who may feel unsafe in their homes.
This system should bring significant rainfall, therefore the general public is advised to remain indoor until the system has moved out of our area.
