SIMPSON BAY, St. Maarten (Tuesday, August 25, 2015)—The Princess Juliana International Airport, SXM, will stay open on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 while it continues to closely monitor the weather conditions as Tropical Storm Erika is expected to pass close to our area late on Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning, according to weather reports.
All travelers using SXM Airport are advised to check with their respective airlines for flight information.
SXM Airport remains prepared and alert to the weather conditions and will, if necessary, activate the normal safety and security measures related to the passage of a storm system that could pose a threat to the users and workers of its facilities.
