Great Bay- The Department of Community Development, Family & Humanitarian Affairs is proud to announce the start of its “Taking total control through budgeting” program on Tuesday September 29th 2015.

The FREE weekly training program consists of interactive sessions, presented by dynamic and engaging presenters, including:

  • “Introduction to budgeting”;
  • “Nutrition on a budget”;
  • “Savings & Insurance”;
  • “Knowing your Self-worth”;
  • and 2 live demonstrations on “Healthy cooking on a low budget”.

The main objective of the “Taking total control through budgeting” program is to empower participants to effectively manage personal finances, recognize and evaluate spending habits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Additionally, the “Taking control through budgeting” workshops will be held on, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Course materials and workbooks will be provided. By the end of the program, participants are able to apply knowledge, tools and strategies to achieve financial goals and take charge of their health and well-being.

Participants that successfully attended and completed the modules will receive a certificate of completion.
