Plenary Session of Parliament set for Monday about Protocol Signed between Sint Maarten and the Netherlands about Justice

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The House of Parliament will meet in a public plenary session on September 14th.  The Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson, has confirmed to be present for the parliamentary session.

The plenary session is set for Monday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg, and is a continuation of the House sitting that was initially held in August.

The agenda point is the protocol signed between the Governments of the Netherlands and Sint Maarten and the apparent unilateral decision by the Netherlands/Dutch Police Agencies regarding the Justice System on Sint Maarten.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.

The parliamentary session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1, the audio via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com and viawww.sxmparliament.org.
