PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The Permanent Committee of Kingdom Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Relations (CKAIR) will meet on December 14th.
The Minister of General Affairs William Marlin will be present for the sitting of the House.
The CKAIR Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.
The CKAIR Committee meeting is related to preparations for the Inter-parliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) 2016 that will take place from January 5-8 on Sint Maarten.
The first agenda point is a discussion about Small Island Developing States (SIDS); Nationality issues due to administrative errors; Motion adopted by Parliament concerning traveling with ID/Sedula/Cedula between the Caribbean islands of the Kingdom; Motion adopted by Parliament concerning a Legislation Academy; and state of affairs regarding Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
The second agenda point are preparations for IPKO and the Tripartite meeting.
Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.
The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
