Police arrest three in unrelated cases

PHILISPBURG – The Detective Department is presently investigating three unrelated cases in which one suspect was arrested.

One female suspect with initials Z.C. was arrested in connection with human smuggling/human trafficking, when she tried to enter the Princess Juliana Airport (PJIA) with false documents. This suspect was placed into custody for further investigation.

One female with the initials A.F. was arrested as a suspect when she tried to use a false identification card at one of the Social Security Offices. This suspect also remains in custody for further investigation.

A male suspect remains in custody for further investigation after he was arrested by police for severely ill-treating the mother of his children. The victim had to be treated at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for the wounds she sustained.
