PHILIPSBURG – Mobile voice and data provider TelCell recently made it a day to remember for two lucky St. Maarten mothers, who were prize winners in TelCell’s Mother’s Day Makeover SMS raffle draw May 29.
The lucky mothers were bank branch supervisor Sherma Coutar and Office Manager Joanna Harris-Sinclair. Both were treated to their winning prize of an entire day of pampering on June 4, courtesy of TelCell.
Sherma and Joanna began their morning at Plush Boutique and T’s Closet respectively, where they tried on some gorgeous outfits. The owners, Tamara of T’s and Linda of Plush Boutiques both used their professional background in fashion to choose just the right outfit for both ladies.
This was followed by a day at The Body Spa, which consisted of manicure, pedicure, facial and massage.
After at lunch treat, the pair continued their dream Mother’s Day event with a two-and-a-half hour session at Addicted Hair Salon, followed by a visit to Sonesta Maho, where they received top-class makeup sessions with make-up artists of Total Perfection.
Highlight of the day was dinner at Moomba Restaurant in Maho, where Sherma and Joanna wowed family and loved ones, who were invited to join them, to marvel at their chic “Mother’s Day Makeover” look.
“It was a very special day, but arriving at the restaurant and being greeted by family and friends was very emotional,” said Sherma.
For Joanna, it was the extra effort that went into making their day so memorable that stands out. “It really made my day and my guests were also very happy to be invited and to be part of the special day,” added Joanna.
TelCell Mother’s Day Makeover SMS raffle coordinator Grisha Marten said this year she wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day in a different way by really making it a day that the winning mothers could enjoy. “And by that I mean an entire day,” said Marten.
She said mothers are usually so busy organizing the lives of their families and others around them that they usually have little time left to pamper themselves.
“They are remembered, of course, and they receive cards and gifts from their loved ones, but how many mothers can truly say they receive this kind of attention from morning to night on their special day?” joked Marten, after the makeovers were revealed to the waiting guests.
Marten thanked the lucky winners and their guests for their cooperation and also all the sponsors that contributed to the SMS raffle prize.
“I also want to especially thank the team of volunteers and supporters who assisted in making the day and the event a successful one,” said Marten.
She invited everyone to visit the TelCell Facebook page to see the highlights of the transformation through pictures, noting that early next week a video will be released again showing the entire transformation as it took place.
Now that the mothers have had their treat, it will soon be the turn of fathers, who can have an “Extreme” AIR, LAND and SEA experience in the TelCell AIR, LAND and SEA SMS raffle now being promoted in the media until June 18.
