Three charged with attempted murder

The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Saturday, July 16, arrested the following persons: Lisa Romney of Blowing Point; Jamie Lewis of East End; and Melissa Romney Brooks-Reid of South Hill.

All three persons were charged on Tuesday, July 19, and were brought before the Magistrate’s Court.

Lisa Romney was charged with attempted murder and is due back in court on Monday, November 28.

Jamie Lewis was charged with assault, obstruction and omission to do duty resulting in harm. He returned to court on yesterday, Wednesday, July 20.

Melissa Romney Brooks-Reid was charged with omission to do duty resulting in harm.

They were all remanded at HMP.


Two charged with possession of cannabis

The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Saturday, July 16, arrested and charged Jan Richardson of Sandy Hill for possession of cannabis, and Sunday, July 17, arrested Joshua Price Jr. of South Hill for possession of cannabis.

The alleged offenders appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, July 18, charged with the said offences.

Richardson was bailed in the sum of EC $15,000 with one surety, and Price Jr. was bailed in the sum of EC $10,000 with one surety. Both offenders are due back to court on Monday, September 5.


Two charged with obstruction, assault   

The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Sunday, July 17 also arrested and charged Nicholas and Yvette Rogers of The Forest for obstruction, assault, resisting arrest and evading customs duties. Nicholas was also charged with four traffic offences.

The two, Nicholas Rogers and Yvette Rogers appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, July 19, charged with the said offences.

Nicholas was bailed in the sum of EC $15,000 with one surety. Yvette was bailed in the sum of EC $5,000 cash with one surety.

Both offenders are due back in court on Tuesday, August 30.
