PHILIPSBURG – VROMI Minister Angel Meyers would like to clarify on the garbage situation at this present moment.
“Complaints have been brought to the Ministry’s attention pertaining to garbage from all districts. It is evident that parcel 5 and 6 have structural problems within the organization, which needs grave attention,” a release stated.
“Parcel 5 and 6 have not been performing and the Minister plans to deal with the situation until the contractor for that area is performing up to par. The Minister wants to make clear that this has nothing to do with affiliation with any political parties as some may suggest, and all necessary measures would be taken to rectify any situation that is causing grievances to the general public,” the release continued.
The garbage collection schedules have been published in the local newspapers and are available on the VROMI Facebook page and the Government website.
Schedules for the hurricane cleanup will also be made available to the public in the near future.
