PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Due to uncertainty surrounding the present weather conditions, the United St. Maarten Party (USP) has moved its first public meeting to Saturday, August 27. The event will be held in the same location, Simpson Bay, across of the Harbour Restaurant.

The meeting was initially scheduled for Thursday, August 25, but the party explained that Thursday evening shows chances of remnant showers from the passing tropical wave. As such, the decision was made to move the meeting to Saturday.

Residents are all invited to come out and hear from the USP’s candidates as they continue their push to the September 26 Parliamentary Elections.
