PHILIPSBURG, SINT MAARTEN – October 17, 2016 – The Rotary Club of St. Maarten grew from 45 club members to 47, when two new members were inducted, Iris Fehse and Kevin Singleton. The president, Henna Brudhani reminded the new members that as a Rotarian you are expected to serve humanity Service above Self.
The month of October is Membership month at the St. Maarten Rotary club. During this month each Rotarian is encouraged to introduce prospective members to Rotary.
Rotary International is the world’s oldest service club organization that was started in 1905 in Chicago by four businessmen and is the oldest service club in the world comprising roughly 33,000 clubs in more than 165 countries, with 1.2 million members. These members form a global network of business and professional leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.
