PHILIPSBURG – The St. Maarten Hospitality and Trade Association announced that entertainment for the 11th annual Crystal Pineapple Awards Fundraising Gala will be provided by Ebony Steel Orchestra, the TelCell Breakthrough winners and DJ Ecedro Richardson.
Master of Ceremonies will be Gee Money. The Award Ceremony is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 19, at Sonesta Maho Resort & Casino at 7:00pm.
This year’s theme is “Branding St. Maarten,” and is showcased by the mesmerizing sounds of Dow’s Youth Steel Orchestra. Having this festive music will bring a new feeling and atmosphere to the event. In addition, there will be performances by the TelCell Breakthrough winners. Once again these individuals will be able illustrate to the public their amazing talents. “Being able to support and bring exposure to our local talent is a great opportunity that SHTA strives to be a part of,” SHTA said in a statement.
The two performers who will be performing are Kevin Lambert and Diandra Marlin. These talented locals both won in their categories for the TelCell Breakthrough competition.
The Crystal Pineapple Awards Fundraising Gala is the only event on the island that recognizes Hospitality and Trade personnel, organizations and associations, for their contribution towards the tourism industry.
The SHTA will be pulling out all the stops to highlight those persons within the industry who deserve to be honored. The gala evening also includes a sumptuous dinner, a silent auction and much more.
Voting polls closed yesterday Monday, November 14. “Thank you to everyone that voted. The winners will be announced on Saturday, November 19, at the 11th annual Crystal Pineapple Awards Fundraising Gala,” the SHTA statement concluded.
VOTING: Please note that the final selection of winners is based on the outcome of popular votes and CPA committee review.
