MULLET BAY – Over the last weekend of November 24, avid golfers split up in 6 teams headed out to a softly moon lit Mullet Bay golf course to show off their skills in the dark.

Geared up with glowing golf balls, and a pair of flashlights, each team was trying to score as low as possible. After a fierce battle, lost balls and near hits, the surprising winner of this year’s Moonlight Scramble was “The Ghost Team” consisting of Mark Hanauer, Marius Arrondell, Trevor DaCosta and a lost Halloween Ghost, who ended the 9 holes stroke play event with a total score of 34 net.

With a combined gross handicap of 83 “The Ghost Team” was on a mission to prove that “you don’t need to be a pro to have fun playing golf or to win a tournament.”

Second prize was won by the team of Snowy Struthers, Geoff Heilman, Jean De la Salle and Ian Gurr with a total score of 35 net.

Third prize was taken by team of Sidsel Jacobsen, Keith Graham, Gitte Poulsen and Frank Jespersen with a total net score of 36.

After the golf, a wonderful prize-giving ceremony was hosted at the Taco Macho Restaurant across the airport where all teams enjoyed snacks and drinks until late at night.
