PHILIPSBURG – On Thursday, December 8, Social & Health Insurances (SZV) will host a public information session at the University of St. Martin (USM) from 6:30pm-8:00pm with focus on the rights and obligations of Old-age, Widow(ers), Orphan pension benefits and 60+ medical insurance.
“SZV looks forward to welcoming those interested to get the needed information. SZV would especially like to give a warm welcome to those that are reaching the current pension age of 60 years,” a release said.
The information session will be an interactive one where various topics will be highlighted, including: requirements, calculation methods, application procedures, 60+ medical insurance, the right to receive pension benefits when abroad and also allow for questions from the public.
Over the past year SZV has established good relations with various local stakeholders and government as it relates to the exchange of information surrounding pension benefits. From a customer and beneficiary perspective, SZV has noticed that not everyone is aware of the specific rights and obligations for pension benefits. For this reason, this public information session will be hosted.
SZV representatives hope to also receive feedback on Thursday, which can be useful for further improving the communication channels and information to customers.
This event is the start of a series of SZV information sessions, which will continue in 2017. SZV is currently also in the planning stages of custom-made information sessions with various employers who are collaborating with SZV to ensure that their staff are well informed of their SZV rights and obligations.
For those unable to attend the session on Thursday, but still would like to know more about the topics on the agenda, SZV encourages frequent use of the website www.szv.sx, the SZV Facebook page and information, which is made available at their offices.
