GREAT BAY – The Common Court of Justice sentenced Franky Ricardo Lewest Gomez to 7 years of imprisonment for the attempted manslaughter on the ex-boyfriend of his girlfriend on February 10, 2016. The Court in First Instance had also sentenced Gomez to 7 years.
The shooting occurred when the victim went to see his ex-girlfriend Tiffany in Middle Region. When he saw the 30-year old Gomez approach his car from behind he drove away, but Gomez shot him in the back through the rear of the vehicle.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was in a coma for three days.
The court noted that Gomez has a prior conviction of 7 years for a violent crime. When he shot his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend he had been released from prison not too long before.
