GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Government Offices are open, however, the following departments and services are closed to the public: Receivers Office, Civil Registry Department, Department of Labour & Social Affairs (Pondfill), and the Simpson Bay Public Service Center. The Tax Department at the Vineyard Building is open.
Business activity can continue as normal, but it is up to the discretion of the business owner/manager whether they would close their operations.
The Fire Department is requesting motorists to drive with caution on the road network and to be aware of street flooding during heavy rain showers; avoid flooded areas or flood prone areas; those driving along hillsides should drive with caution and beware of rock-falls.
