SINT MAARTEN – Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes Charlesson Reymond and Ruben Girault represented St. Maarten/St. Martin at the IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Long Beach, California, June 1-4.
Girault earned a silver medal in the juvenile novice middle weight division. Reymond had three tough matches, winning his first two by submission and was stopped one match short of the quarterfinals, losing a tied match by referee decision in the adult blue belt light weight division.
