UPDATE POLICE # 2: Suspect Arrested
ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – On Sunday June 25, in the afternoon hours, the police on Sint Eustatius (KPCN) arrested the man who was injured early Sunday morning and transported to the hospital.
The arrest was ordered by the Public Prosecutor BES. He is suspected of involvement in the death of the female victim found.
The investigation in this case continues.
UPDATE POLICE # 1: MURDER IN STATIA
KPCN starts extensive investigation into death on Statia
ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – On Sunday June 25th around 1.00 AM the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN) on St. Eustatius received a call that two injured persons would be found in a dwelling.
On the scene Police discovered one deceased and one wounded person. The injured person was transported to the Queen Beatrix medical Centre. Police is now started an extensive investigation.
No further information can be provided at this time. KPCN and the Public Prosecutor’s Office will provide updates as the investigation progresses.

~ A man is hospitalized ~
ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – Information reaching 721news report that Police in Statia were notified around 1:00am on Sunday, June 25, that a possible domestic dispute was taking place.
When Police arrived on the scene, they found the body of a female, who appeared to be of Latin ethnicity, and her partner with serious injuries.
Unconfirmed reports say that a couple went on a Sunset Cruise on the island with friends.
It is not clear what happened during the hike. It is possible that a dispute broke out, or an accident occurred that cost the female her life after at her home in Concordia, St Eustatius.
The man has been hospitalized for further treatment. 721news could not verify the information with local authorities, however, BES police are busy investigating the case.
