The song, SXM IS NICE (Oh What a Paradise), was a tribute to the island paradise, St. Maarten / St. Martin, originally recorded by the artist Tonca backed by Friends Band in 1987.
On its 30th year anniversary the song has been re-recorded by two of his children (performed by Sandra Brooks and produced by Alfonso D’Niscio Brooks) and is being presented to you as an official song of cooperation, goodwill and hope for the rebuilding of the Friendly Island.
In the aftermath of the severe devastation of hurricane IRMA, we offer this song as part of our identity, our resilience, and to promote the beauty, the people and the singular value of our paradise island St. Maarten / St. Martin. #SXMSTRONG
