Betty’ s Estate– The Methodist Aggogic Center experienced some Christmas cheer on Monday 18th December 2017. Dino Arrundell and his wife Brenda Arrundell, of Captain D’s Rib Shack, surprised 94 Cycle 1 Year 2 students of the Rev. John A. Gumbs and Browlia F. Maynard campuses with goodie bags to jumpstart their Christmas celebration.

“I am a product of the Methodist Agogic Center; an institution that taught me the true meaning of Christmas which is giving. My wife and I decided to take it back to where it all started and treat the students with items that will keep their mind active during the Christmas vacation, Dino Arrundell stated.”

The items in the bags included an activity book, pencils, glue sticks, erasers, rulers, candies and a refreshing drink.

Captain D’s Rib Shack continues to play a key role in the community. Their first community outreach was in December 20016 when they donated a Christmas tree and decorations to the pupils of the Leonald Connor School. The couple continued their outreach with their free hot meal distribution of over 500 plates every Sunday for families in need post hurricane Irma. “We will not stop here. Our goal is to help whenever we can because it is only together we will smile again,” Brenda Arrundell concluded.

Captain D’s Rib Shack is located on the Simpson Bay parking lot and open every day from 11am until serving delicious meals.
