Harbour View – On March 15, 2018, His Excellency the Governor of Sint Maarten, drs. Eugene B. Holiday, paid a working visit to Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. The visit is part of the Governor’s assessment of the post hurricane recovery progress on the island.
The restoration and reopening of the hotel properties on the island is essential to the overall social and economic recovery. The visit included a tour of the reconstructed areas including the renovated beach villas. The visit ended with a meeting with the management team where they discussed the plans of the hotel.
Governor Holiday was pleased to see the investments being made in the rebuilding and upgrade of the property and looks forward to the planned reopening of the property with 87 rooms in May this year. This will be a welcome addition of rooms to boost the stayover visitors and the economy.
Governor Holiday was received by the Divi Resorts President and COO Marco Galaverna, General Manager Anne-Marie Brooks, Assistant General Manager Thijs Scheepens, HR Director Krystal Wanga and Regional Manager Jan Ten Have.
