Basseterre, St. Kitts, – A St. Peter’s resident was rushed to the J. N. France General Hospital Saturday morning with gunshot wounds.

Ricaldo Jeffers is the third person to be attacked by gunmen in less than 24 hours and the fourth injured in four separate shooting incidents for the week.

Friday night gunmen wounded Hannibal Williams of Taylors and minutes later, Glenville Francis was shot dead in Newton Ground.

Francis was shot dead by an unknown person, who pumped five bullets into his body in the railway line area.

Francis’ killing is one of two shooting incidents on Friday night, hours after the burial of the Finch sisters, who were murdered in violent circumstances on March 1.

In the Taylor’s shooting on Friday night, Hannibal Williams was shot reportedly after he opened his door to see who was knocking. He has been hospitalised but the extent of his injuries is not known.

On Sunday, March 11, Old Road residents, 23-year-old Dejohn Foster and 21-year-old Ajani Reef were sitting on the steps of the Old Road Community Center when a lone gunman appeared and began firing shots at them.

Reef underwent emergency surgery and was listed as being in a serious, but stable condition. Foster was listed as being in a stable condition.
