GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that the beautification works of Philipsburg that started in July will continue Friday, August 10.
On Friday, beautification works will start at the Cyrus Wathey Square Plaza. The plaza will be closed for all pedestrians during the hours that the work will be taking place and re-opened thereafter.
These works will be carried out by Ministry VROMI Department of Infrastructure Management starting at 6:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to be vigilant and observant as various types of heavy equipment will be used during the aforementioned hours.
The infrastructure beautification works entail removal of dead trees; black plastic mats; metal rods and electrical wires; re-placement of missing bricks; and the removal of old telephone booths etc.
Ministry VROMI apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause.
