PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Social & Health Insurances (SZV) and the Collective Prevention Services (CPS) hosted an information session on Thursday November 1st, about medical insurance coverage for chronic illness patients. SZV presented the coverage entitlement and scope of the Sickness Insurance (ZV) to representatives of the Cancer Foundation, representative for Cancer patients and the Business & Professional Women of Concordia. An overview of the ZV medical insurance coverage is available on the website www.szv.sx.
“Hosting the information session to the groups was informative for SZV. We learned about the questions, concerns and sometimes misconceptions that exist among our insured clients. We were happy to give answers and give advice to the attending representatives. It is our aim to inform our insured clients about what they can expect from the coverage of their medical insurance and other services SZV provides.” – Mrs. Parveen Boertje, SZV Unit Manager Customer Care & Communications
SZV regularly hosts information sessions with employers for their employees, NGO’s and various community stakeholder groups. The sessions are a welcomed opportunity to share information directly with customers, increasing awareness and presenting the various self-service options. For the past two years, SZV has hosted several public information sessions on the topics of ZV insurance, Medical Expenses, AOV pension, Employer obligations and Medical Referrals. For 2019, SZV plans to host more public information sessions, together with NGO’s and community councils.
