PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On November 22nd two men identified with initials F.L. and I.D. were both arrested by police for carjacking. This incident took place at around 04.00 a.m. when the victim on his was from work was on the Church hill round about in Cul-de-Sac. While coming to a stand still behind another vehicle two unknown men jumped into his car.
The suspect in the rear of the vehicle grabbed the suspect around his neck the next suspect came around to the driver-side, pulled the suspect out of the car and jumped into the driver-seat. Both suspects then drove off with the vehicle in the direction of Cole Bay.
A police patrol was sent to the scene to investigate what had taken place. On the scene the officers spoke the victim who explained what had taken place and that the suspects d rove off in the direction of Cole bay.
The victim also stated that he would file an official report with detectives in the morning hours. In the vicinity of the Kruythoff round about while getting a ride home from the police officers, the victim saw his car with the two suspects in it.
The officers arrested both suspects and took them to the Police Head Quarters in Philipsburg where they remain in custody for questioning and further investigation. The vehicle in question was returned to the owner.
