PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten (OM/TBO) — In relation to the investigation DOP, the Asset Recovery Team seized a Porsche Boxster on A.Th. Illidge Road on Friday, November 30th, 2018.
Suspect H.B.G.R. (34) is the owner of the vehicle. The suspect is accused of a number of criminal offences, including money laundering. The investigation revealed that the suspect had no legal income that could justify ownership of a Porsche Boxster.
The vehicle was confiscated, because crime should not pay. The DOP investigation is still being pursued. Proceeds of the Asset Recovery Team will benefit country Sint Maarten.
