SYNOPSIS:
Lingering moisture and instability associated with a recent tropical wave may produce cloudy periods and isolated showers across St. Maarten during the early part of this forecast period. Conditions will continue to gradually improve as a relatively drier atmosphere settles over the local area.
Moderate marine conditions are expected to prevail for the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.

The tropical wave located over the central Caribbean Sea continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This wave has a high (90%) chance for development within the next 5 days, as it continues to move westward away from St. Maarten.
