The Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Decolonization of Parliament to meet for discussion on the proposal for action following the Kingdom Charter Expert Panel Discussion and an appeal to Parliament for a Consultative Referendum on Independence for Sint Maarten

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The Permanent Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Decolonization (CCAD) will meet on March 3, 2025.  

The Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday at 14.00hrs. in the Legislative Hall at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg. 

The agenda points are:

  1. Discussion on the proposal for action following the Kingdom Charter Expert Panel Discussion (IS/842/2022-2023 dated June 8, 2023)

    This agenda point was requested by MP S.A. Wescot-Williams

  2. Appeal to Parliament for a Consultative Referendum on Independence for Sint Maarten (IS/457/2024-2025 dated January 13, 2025)

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations. All persons visiting the House of Parliament must adhere to the house rules.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
