UP Family extends condolences to the families of those lost in Erika flooding and prayers for the nation of Dominica

PHILIPSBURG – The Leader of the United People’s Party (UP) Member of Parliament Hon. Theo Heyliger was shocked after viewing news footage of the flooding devastation in the Caribbean island of Dominica.  The extreme flooding is attributed to the passing of Tropical Storm Erika through the Leeward Islands.

“My heart goes out to the people of Dominica.  The news is very sad after hearing about the loss of life as well as those who are missing.  On behalf of the UP Party Family, the party board and its supporters, I express our deepest condolences to the people and Government of Dominica during this tragic period that Dominica is presenting going through.

“We have a Dominica St. Maarten community, and without a doubt, many of them are worried about their island where they have family and friends residing.

“The UP family are keeping Dominica in our prayers at this time.  We wish the people and Government of Prime Minister Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit much strength during this difficult period. We pray for Dominica,” the Leader of the UP MP Theo Heyliger said on Friday.
