PORT ST. MAARTEN – Port St. Maarten staff on Thursday went to the Dominica Relief Effort depot on the Pondfill at the Ring Road to drop off relief items that they collected for the people of Dominica.

The staff decided after seeing television and social media pictures of the devastation, and from the appeals made to the outside world by the Government of Dominica, decided that they needed to help in some way and collected a jeep full of goods that could be used.

The Commonwealth of Dominica was devastated by torrential rainfall from Tropical Storm Erika last week Thursday.

Port St. Maarten management thanks the staff for their worthy initiative in helping brothers and sisters in need, adding that we are all in solidarity with the people of Dominica for a speedy recovery.
