PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Tuesday evening, October 6th, the library is continuing its Power of Knowledge series with an information session on financial planning and insurance by Neil Henderson of Henderson Insurances.
The Power of knowledge series started last week with the first part of the “Know your finances” sessions, which continue with Tuesday’s lecture. The Power of Knowledge sessions are being organised to help equip people with knowledge with which they can better manage their lives and take control of any difficult situation they may be facing. The library strives to do this by inviting experts from the business sector and government to speak and share their vast knowledge on the topics at hand.
Tuesday night, Neil Henderson, Managing Director at Henderson Insurances, will shed light on insurance and financial planning from 6:30 pm. The week after, the first part of the “Know your rights” lectures will commence on October 13th at 6:30 pm, when Gwendolien Mossel, Legal Advisor at the Ombudsman, will discuss the services offered by the Ombudsman. On Tuesday October 20th at 6:30 pm, Nikima Groeneveldt-Hickinson, Policy Advisor at the Department of Labor, will provide a lecture on labour law. All are invited to attend these important and interesting lectures which are completely free of charge.
