PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — The Sint Maarten Nature Foundation is giving presentations to various church groups, starting with the Anglican Church last Wednesday. Nature Foundation office manager Marisa Dyer-Brandy gave the congregation at the Anglican Church a presentation on the role of the Nature Foundation and its tasks, on Sea Turtle Conservation, and on the importance of recycling in the community.
“Including church groups and other organizations in Nature Conservation is an essential task of the Nature Foundation. Considering the recent comments by religious leaders around the globe, including urgent warnings from Pope Francis about our responsibility to protect and conserve Nature it is essential that we bring the message to the community on a grass roots level,” commented Tadzio Bervoets, Manager of the Nature Foundation.
Should any organization wish to have a presentation centered on the environment and conservation they are more than welcome to contact the Nature Foundation. “We are often asked how much the Nature Foundation charges for presentations. We only ask to help protect and conserve the environment and St. Maarten to help ensure that Nature is our Future,” concluded Bervoets.
