PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – The Adult Entertainment Foundation of St. Maarten is currently hemorrhaging as a result of government’s efforts to bring about changes in the industry.
Attorney Jiro Bloem the lawyer representing the foundation told reporters on Tuesday afternoon that the sudden stoppage of the processing of papers for the adult workers is now forcing them in the direction of closure.
Bloem further noted that there has been no dialog with the business owners about a possible solution for the problem which he described as a disguised effort by government to stop the clubs from being able to operate which will have far reaching consequences for not only the business owners but also for the workers which they employ.
