COLE BAY For a crash course in the dos and don’ts of eyebrows, pay a visit to international brow expert Aubrey America, who will be at Beautylicious on Tuesday, April 19, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

audriDuring this Carnival season, Medicosmetics has partnered with Aubrey America, who is excited to be on the island to share some of his skills and knowledge with the regular consumer who may not always have time to follow a full makeup class.

Medicosmetics is aware of the important role makeup plays with consumers, and besides offering top quality products, would like to also educate their customers on how to achieve satisfying results with the right tools.

Discovering the best shape for eyebrows without sacrificing their natural appearance is what customers want to accomplish when shaping their brows. Pencil thin or overly bushy eyebrows are dated looks that can be distracting rather than enhancing.

He has been the brain, power and creativity behind many pageants and beauty contests on the island. Having a career span of 27 years in the show and beauty business, America has been at the helm of Miss Curaçao Teenager for 11 years.

“I grew up in Ararat wijk and it was a custom for us to go to the Pietermaai church every Sunday. I had an elementary school teacher named Miss Piar, who attended the same church as I did. She was always elegantly dressed from head to toe. There is where I fell in love with beauty. She inspired me to start early on with working in the entertainment industry. I am also a great fan of the Miss Venezuela pageant. The effort and hard work their organization puts in to get the best result is something we all can learn a lesson from,” America stated.

“I have been doing this for almost 27 years now. On professional level it has been since 1998 working for the organization that organized the pageants. Later, I went on my own, in 2001 to be exact, due to creative differences. I never regretted doing so and I haven’t looked back since. As a make-up artist I have 13 years’ experience in many pageants around the world!” he continued.

“I’ve experienced L’Oréal Paris for the last 3 years and I can say with confidence that this is a great product. I love the True Match foundations and powders. It has over 33 colors that will definitely match your skin color,” America said.

Medicosmetics represent brands like L’Oréal, Garnier, and Maybelline, and is excited that America will be able to render his services at one of their retailers: Beautylicious.

“We look forward to the ladies visiting us on April 19, and hope that the session will help them with enhancing their overall skills,” Medicosmetics said in a statement.
