Gendarmerie with two consecutive day of raiding

Raid 005-001FRENCH QUARTER, Saint Martin — French law enforcement officers were out in full numbers Friday morning, raiding at least 6 properties in French Quarter where mechanical operations were being conducted.

The raid started at around 9am and was executed by the Gendarmes who also used a helicopter for air surveillance during the operation.

One eyewitness told our news room that you could have seen the forensic team and detectives of the Gendarmerie, checking into the bonnets of the vehicles parked on the property. The officers were also taking notes of what can be assumed to be the engine number and other relevant vehicle numbers.

On one of the properties, two young men could be seen sitting down with their hands shackled as the French authorities questioned them.

Raid 009-001On Today and Thursday the Gendarmes also executed full force raids at properties located in Marigot and Agrément, close to the Galisbay round about. It is not clear just how many people were arrested and it is also not clear what they were searching for.

By the action that could be seen in French Quarter, 721news can conclude that the objective of the investigation is possibly to breakup a reselling of stolen car parts and stolen car ring.

We can not also close out the option that they were also ready and on the lookout for information on the escapee Fortune.

The French authorities did not release any information at this point on the investigation however they are continuing with their investigation.
