1 Volunteer With Young Girl-001Belvedere, St. Maarten – The K1 Britannia Foundation treated 30 foster kids of New Start and Hope Outreach to a educational and fun trip to the newly opened Parotte Ville.
Parotte Ville is home to more than eight species of birds. All the birds are tamed and the kids were excited and anxious about the opportunity to interact with the birds while holding bird food.
They also learned about the various birds and plants on the site and were given a tour of the small museum with decades old St. Maarten artifacts.
After receiving all the new information, volunteers played with the kids on the swings , monkey bars and little car that everyone wanted to take turns “driving”.
They kids fully enjoyed themselves and the K1 Britannia Foundation would like to thank Mr. George Parotte, owner of Parotte Ville for giving a discounted price as well as Mr. Jonathan of Bus 149 for providing transportation in making this day possible.
Thanks goes out to the volunteers that came out and spent the day with the kids.
