PHILIPSBURG – St. Maarten Foundation for Psychologists and “Orthopedagogen” (SFPO) recently completed the first phase of the Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) training.
Trainer, Co-Founder, and Psychologist Irit Schorr-Shapir (center) from the School of Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) in Israel, provided the basic level training, focusing on the NVR theory, strategy and implementation with emphasis placed on the application of the strategies within the St. Maarten context.
SFPO board members have completed the basic training course in Non-Violent Resistance and New Authority Psychology, marking a start for the Foundation to be an international training partner of the NVR School in Israel.
SFPO is in the process of organizing the second phase of the training and passing on information and skills received from the first training to families in the community.
