PHILIPSBURG – Be The Change Foundation is seeking applicants for the “Dream Big” scholarship.
Eligible students residing in St. Maarten/St. Martin are encouraged to apply for the annual Dream Big scholarship, a fund dedicated to Be The Change Foundation’s late founder Erika Cannegieter.
“Every student has different educational aspirations, but the increasing cost of paying for higher education is still apparent for most. By providing scholarship assistance, we can help boost deserving students who want to graduate with a degree and give back to the St. Maarten society. The support that students receive from their own community can help motivate them to make it through a university career,” said President Melanie Choisy.
Applicants must meet the criteria and provide complete answers to the required questions in order to qualify. The Board of Directors will determine the number and amount of each grant awarded based on the annual budget.
The application is free and is available on the Be The Change Foundation website: http://www.bethechangesxm.com. Additional information on how to apply for the Dream Big scholarship is also available on the site.
No applications will be considered after the deadline of July 15, at 11:59pm.
Be the Change Foundation is a non-profit foundation whose core mission is to encourage the local community to actively contribute to various causes and social movements by way of donations and/or volunteering time.
