CHICAGO – Last Sunday, August 21, the reigning king of Caribbean Comedy Majah Hype made his Chicago debut.

The laughter-filled show featured jokes by Chicago comedy legends B. Cole, Comedian Stick, and newcomer Onicia Muller.

Majah Hype’s two-part performance opened with stand-up comedy covering island-specific humor and tales from his childhood. During his second half, he transformed into Grampa James, a beloved character known for his “Dat Does Piss Me Off” video rants.

Previously featured on BET and Def Comedy Jam, Comedian Stick’s routine kept both the audience and host DJ Boom Bostic on their feet. His outspoken and raw comedy style covered male-female dynamics, house music, and changes in party culture.

Cole captured the Caribbean crowd with side-splitting commentary on parenting and aging. Cole is a touring comic currently working on his fourth feature film. His first feature film, “A Get2gether” is now distributed by Millennium Films and won Best Independent Film Award (2005) at Chicago Comedy Awards.

St. Maartener Onicia Muller shared her signature brand of dead-pan and sometimes dark comedy covering death, divorce, and witty responses for “macco” neighbors.

Ken Smith of American Caribbean Entertainment Group (ACE Group) produced Caribbean Comedy Explosion. After Chicago, Majah Hype’s “Go Ask Your Parents” comedy tour continues with a homecoming Labor Day performance in Brooklyn, New York.
