PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Wednesday, August 10, 2016, two deputy members were sworn in as members of the Electoral Council by His Excellency, the Governor of Sint Maarten, Drs. Eugene Holiday, at his cabinet in Harbour View. His Excellency Governor Eugene Holiday congratulated Mr. Marvel Hooi and Mr. Oscar Williams and stressed that they play a very important role in the Electoral Council, especially at this time.

Mr. Marvel Hooi and Mr. Oscar Williams are replacing the former deputy members to the Electoral Council, Mr. Jeroen Veen and Ms. Marlene Mingo, whom resigned from the Electoral Council in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

The Electoral Council is very pleased that the vacant positions on the Council are finally filled by Mr. Marvel Hooi and Mr. Oscar Williams, both financial experts and as such a great asset to the Electoral Council for the monitoring and supervision of the financial aspects of the National Ordinance on Registration and Finances of Political Parties.
