PHILIPSBURG – Former Member of Parliament (MP) Leona Marlin Romeo commended Kashif Sams, the University of Tampa’s recruitment representative for the Sint Maarten student career fair, on his participation in informing students about their options to study in Florida.
This is the first time the university is sending a local Sint Maartener to carry out such a task as their aim is to put a personal touch to recruiting stated Sams a senior studying Economics at the university.
Kashif Sams did not hesitate to take this opportunity in helping Sint Maarten students consider attending the University of Tampa.
Sams proudly asserted the university being part of the 6% of all business schools that have the Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business accreditation.
A graduate from St. Dominic’s High School, Sams is convinced that the university is the ideal choice for Sint Maarten students as the institution recognizes both CXC and HAVO exams for entrance, along with the required SAT and TOEFL exams.
When asked if the university would consider signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Sint Maarten, Sams stated that with the right discussion anything is possible.
Kashif Sams intends to pursue his Master’s Degree in Economics with a specialization in Monetary Policy and Banking. Sint Maarten can look forward to his return upon completion.
