SUCKER GARDEN – The St. Maarten Lions Club will be selling tickets for the Lion Wally Havertong Christmas Bingo Spectacular, this Saturday, November 26, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Lion’s Den on Sucker Garden Road next to SOL gas station.
Anticipation for this popular fundraising bingo, which hosts 2,000 plus persons, is growing in the public over the last few weeks. Members of the public can come out to the Lion’s Den and purchase their tickets at $10 per ticket in advance to avoid long lines at the gate.
The club will call about 51 bingo games on December 3 for overloaded goody baskets, airline tickets on Air France/KLM, PAWA, InselAir and Winair, among others, along with various dinner vouchers and other constellation prizes. The final grand prize for the evening is Santa’s Bag, which has NAf. 2,000 cash.
Festival Village gates open at 6:30pm on Bingo night, in order for the public to obtain their bingo cards. The first bingo game will be called at 8:00pm sharp by Past District Governor Lion Wally Havertong.
Drinks, food and snacks will be on sale all night and the general public are urged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible on Saturday, from any Lion member or at the Festival Village gate where there will be a limited supply of tickets.
All proceeds raised from the Lions Christmas Bingo Spectacular will be used for worthwhile projects for the community of St. Maarten.
